"Down In The Weeds, Where The World Once Was" is the title of the record, the successor to "The People's Key" from 2011 and thus the first album of Conor Oberst's band project in nine long years.

The trio, which currently consists of Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott, recorded 14 songs for this album. There are also guest contributions from Flea (Red Hat Chili Peppers) and Jon Theodore (The Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age).

With "Persona Non Grata", "Forced Convalescence", "One And Done" and "Mariana Trench" four singles of the new album have already been released.

And they show: With "Down In The Weeds, Where The World Once Was" Bright Eyes has created another timeless Indie-Rock artwork.
